The story begins with Wilson Wendell, a promising college football player. As the fame and money took over his life he continued to feel more and more distant from those around him. The night after a big win the world was left wondering, where did he go? His pampered city life seemed like the perfect situation, living in a Boston high rise with a view of the whole city most would be left in wonder. But for Wilson he was left remembering his younger days growing up in a rural town where life was full of adventure in the simple things. Like that, he left down the path less traveled.
Crumpling up any inclination of his much praised past and moving on, only focusing on what he saw for himself. There seemed to be a bright horizon in the basic necessities of life. The forest was his new game field and the clothes on his back were his new uniform. The spectators were the thousands of different wildlife creatures he came across on his travels. The ideas of his story cycled around most major news channels but no one could be quite sure where he went or what ended up of him. Some think he died in the wild being left to be part of the earth, as for me, I like to believe he discovered his true passion and made his way to personal bliss in the beauty of simplicity.
